Week 9: Socrative!

In Setoga class we enjoy reflecting on our learning because it helps us understand what we really know, what we know and what we don't know.  It also helps us think about what we could do next time to make something better.

Miss Fortes sometimes has to tell us to reflect but some people can do it by themselves.  We use a website called Socrative to reflect on our learning.

This is us hard at work

Week 7: Five finger rule

This week we learned about the 'five finger rule'.  When you are reading a book you have your hand ready. Every time you come across a hard word or a word you don't know, you put up one finger.  If you have all five fingers up before the end of the page it means 'STOP' and that the text is too hard for you.

We use this rule to help us find books that we can read independently.  Do you have a rule that you use?
