Week 4: Attempting a screencastify task

Kia orana

Miss Fortes here. This week I created a poem task for Pohatu Class to complete. It involved reading or singing this weeks poem over the top of a backing track made using Incredibox. I noticed that only a few students had completed the task so I thought I would give it a try myself and see how it feels to complete one of my tasks.

Did I come across any challenges? Hmmm watch my screencastify below and find out.

Hi blogging world

Today Jay presented his maths challenge to the class. We used screencastify to record his presentation and the discussion throughout. Feel free to listen to it by clicking on the link below

Jay's presentation/feedback session

Note to Setoga class: please remember to listen to this screencastify before you present to the class. There are a few peices of feedback in there that could apply to you all. It will also give you a springboard from where to start.  Happy presenting!

Week 3: Team Germany

This Friday some of Setoga class will be attending the annual 'Have a go' sports day at Keith Hay Park.  They will have the chance to participate in get set go activities, touch rugby, gymnastics and SNAG golf.

This years theme is the Olympics and we are representing Germany.  Andrew, Fehi, Sela, Hinemoa and JD worked together to create a chant for our team.  They made a screencastify of it to share with everyone.  Enjoy.

Week 8: Screencastify

This term we have been looking closely at the Hay Park Way.  This is a screencastify that JD made to share his thinking about the Hay Park Way.

We were all so happy when we could hear JD independently self-assessing his work.

"A screencastify is a good way to share your learning because people can give you really good feedback.  Now I know that have to go and do the last criteria again." - JD

Week 3: Student toolkits

This week our fabulous four chromebook experts Gargee, Raymond, Janine and Kanishka held mini toolkits during reading.  In these toolkits they taught us how to add screencastify to chrome and how to use screencastify too.  Mandita thought it was really weird to hear her own voice on the screen but fun to do. She was also the first person to complete a screencastify in our class and is now a screencastify expert!
