Week 7: Five finger rule

This week we learned about the 'five finger rule'.  When you are reading a book you have your hand ready. Every time you come across a hard word or a word you don't know, you put up one finger.  If you have all five fingers up before the end of the page it means 'STOP' and that the text is too hard for you.

We use this rule to help us find books that we can read independently.  Do you have a rule that you use?

I really like how you guys made up the five finger rule. Well in fact I have been using your guys five finger rule. Hey I just remembered that when I got stuck on a word my mum use to tell me to change the book. When did you guys think about a five finger rule?
